The central part of the lid is carved with Tutankhamun's pre-name, Nebkheperura, written through the representation of the winged scarab resting on the symbol neb and holding the solar disc in its paws. At the bottom is a lotus flower and at the sides two cobras with solar discs. The rest of the lid is inscribed with hieroglyphics.
