Floor mosaic that gave its name to the house of the Tragic Poet. It was placed as an emblem in the tablinum and shows the preparation of the actors before the performance of a satirical drama, as can be seen from the actors' costumes. In the centre is a musician rehearsing the double flute and on a stool sits the choirmaster. In the background we see an attendant helping an actor in dressing
