Statuette of a woman brewing beer found inside the mastaba of Meresankh, Giza, and part of a series of statuettes of servants representing various trades. The woman is bent over a bowl placed on a large jar with a spout from which to pour the liquid. She wears only a tight-fitting white skirt of medium length and a pale blue necklace. The wig features single strands of hair rendered with vertical incisions. The figure mots a prosperous bosom and muscular arms to emphasise strength. The face has been executed with great realism thanks to large eyes and an irregular nose. - 21335
