Fresco from the ekklesiasterion showing an idyllic sacred landscape, as evidenced by the temple with columns and tympanum that opens in the centre of the scene and serves as the entrance to a series of sacred buildings arranged in the background. At the foot of a staircase there is a priest who looks like a Satyr and performs a ritual sacrifice before an altar. One can see an aedicule containing the body of Osiris, an elongated construction that stands between the two columns of the temple. In the foreground is a column with a frieze showing the idyllic theme. The fresco, of Alexandrian origin, dates back to the Hellenistic period.
