Khaemhat and the officials rewarded by Amenhotep III

The large male figure on the left is Khaemhat, who bows slightly as a sign of respect towards the enthroned ruler Amenhotep III (left, not visible in the image). Khaemhat, royal Scribe and Supervisor of the Granaries, wears a wig and the shebyu collar, which was given by the ruler to his high officials as a sign of esteem. On his head rests a cone of perfumed ointment, his left hand raised to chest height. Behind Khaemhat the decoration is divided into three registers: in the upper register there are officials who are rewarded with gifts offered by the king, these gifts are carried by servants; in the two lower registers the rewarded officials bow (together with Kheamhat) before Amnehotep III.
