Ramesses III in the presence of Ptah

Ramesses III performs a fumigation for the god Ptah, the most important of the gods of Memphis, represented as a man wrapped almost completely in a sheath, except for his head and hands. The god wears a cap on his head and in his hands holds the sceptre was and the djed pillar. The pharaoh, clad in a sumptuous skirt fastened at the waist by a precious belt with a gold pendant, is coiffed in the same way as the god Ptah: he wears a blue bonnet.
