Amduat. Seventh hour First register The enemies of Osiris are punished by a cat- or lynx-headed god wielding a sharp object and a knife. Behind him other enemies of Osiris lie on their backs with arms tied by a rope. Below are three birds of prey with human heads and double crowns from Upper and Lower Egypt and a god sitting on the back of an enormous snake. Second register God on the back of an enormous snake ties it at the height of the tail. Behind him other goddesses armed with knives. They stand guard over four chests inside which is a mound of sand under which is buried one of the four forms of Osiris. Third register Twelve gods and twelve goddesses embodying the stars and the hours. In front of the goddesses of the hours stands an enormous crocodile called 'Osiris the Eye of Ra'. It rests on a mound and under its snout is a human head 'the head of Osiris'.
