Ramses III and Isis
Detail. Ramesses III and his son Amonherkhepshef are welcomed by the goddess Isis who rises a a hand in greeting in the direction of the king. Ramses III wears a yellow Cap-Crown and a sumptuous skirt adorned with feathers and gathered at the waist by a precious pendant. While the goddess wears a tight red dress and on her head a headdress which has the vulture's shape surmounted by long bovine horns and solar disk, the hairstyle that Hathor is also taken from Isis during the New Kingdom.
