Palazzo dei Conservatori. Inner Courtyard
The Palazzo dei Conservatori was built to house the meetings of the Conservators, magistrates who governed the city, together with the Senators. The palace was altered in 1568 by Giacomo della Porta, according to Michelangelo's designs. The picture shows the inner courtyard with pedestals decorated in relief with Roman figures
