Bracelet of Queen Ahhotep

The jewel is composed of two semi-cylindrical sheets linked by two hinges. The depiction of the right half is divided by a fan placed on the hieroglyphic shen into two symmetrical and opposing scenes, representing the god Geb protecting the pharaoh Ahmosi placed on his knees and wearing a red crown in the left version and wearing a double crown in the right version On the other side of the armband are the souls of Pe (Lower Egypt) and Nekhen (Upper Egypt), hawk-headed and jackal-headed respectively, ancestors of the kings before the unification of the Two Lands, who raise their arms in jubilation recognising the crowned king as the legitimate successor of the divine pharaohs.
