Naos with Falcone

The naos was intended to contain the mummy of a falcon; it is in the shape of a shrine. The walls, tapering upwards, are covered with multicoloured designs, in which continuous friezes of apotropaic symbols and urei with sun discs stand out. On the copperchio of the naos is fixed the small wooden sculpture of a hawk on whose head two tall feathers with a solar disc soar: this is the effigy of the solar god Ra.
