Treasure of Tutankhamun. Perfume container with Nile deities
The main decorative motif represents the union of the Two Lands. The very shape of the vessel recalls the sign sma, symbol of union. A vulture is possessed over the opening of the vessel, its wings spread as a sign of protection and its crown atef, representing the goddess Nekhbet.
