Painted alabaster (calcite) casket from Tutankhamun's tomb
Painted alabaster casket from the tomb of Tutankhamun. The decoration features geometric and floral motifs and cartouches of the pharaoh on the short sides and lid. The latter is decorated with two bunches of lotus flowers between which is the royal title. The two closing knobs are made of obsidian.
