Ushabty in Amenofi II

Funerary statuette. The lower part of the body of the ushabt, below the arms, is covered with eight horizontal lines of hieroglyphic text containing the formula ushabty (chapter 6 of the Book of the Dead). with the arms crossed over the chest and the hands coming out of the bands clasping an ankh sign (symbol of life); he is girding the striated nemes, adorned with the uraeus in the centre of the forehead, a long and narrow false beard ending in a sort of curl.
