Canopic jar of Pseusenne I

The canopic jars are closed by a lid that has four shapes -human, baboon, falcon or jackal head-, representing the four sons of Horo, namely Imset, Hapi, Qebehsenuf and Duamutef, who preside over the preservation of the internal organs. The lids are covered with a thin sheet of gold and blue glass paste. The four figures bear a gilded bronze uraeus on their heads.
