The triad depicts Mycerinus wearing the white crown of Upper Egypt and the shendyt skirt accompanied by the goddess Hathor on his right, holding his hand. To his left is another female figure, bearing on her head the symbol of the Dysopolitan nomo, the seventh administrative district of Upper Egypt, whose capital was Hu; below are hieroglyphics identifying the goddess, the district offerings and the pharaoh (Menkaura and, his name for Horus, 'Kakhui'). The triads of Mycerinus were eight in number, dedicated to the goddess Hathor (her cult was widespread in Upper Egypt), which were to adorn one of the temple rooms downstream of the ruler's pyramid
