It is probably an artist's studio. The couple is depicted in typical Amarna style, more 'naturalistic' than the classical depictions of Pharaonic Egypt. The lack of specific indications leads one to assume more than one identification for the characters. They could be Akhenaten and Nefertiti, Smenkhara and Meritaten or Tutankhamun and Ankhesenamon. The male figure, on the left, wears a short wig, a broad collar, and a pleated skirt. He visibly leans on a staff, held with his right hand, and his left leg is bent. The female figure wears a hooded headdress, a wide collar and a long semi-transparent dress. She is depicted in the act of holding flowers to her companion's face.
